WATCH DISPLAY CASE
This watch display case was designed for the watch that my father gifted me as a coming of age gift. As watches are commonly a man’s most special accessory, it is only fitting that a watch owner has an accompanying display case to match his timepiece.
I designed this watch case to be a display element that could be sat atop a nightstand. The case features a hinge that allows the cover of the stand to move forward or backwards 90 degrees. Both the cover and the actual stand element are 3D modeled and printed, while the wooden base is a series of lasercut plywood sheets. I finished the cover with leather and wooden verneer to match the leather strap of my watch. Lastly, I made a simple wooden box with a leather finished cover to house the display case.
